To meet growing demand we are pleased to announce that we have built our own redundant network. We will be performing server migrations as part of a complete infrastructure upgrade. We are migrating all services hosted in South Africa to our new network.
This server is scheduled for migration on Friday 9th March 2018. Apologies for the recent slow responses experienced on this server, it is caused by storage system maintenance as part of our infrastructure upgrades.
Why are migrations being performed?
We are upgrading our hosting infrastructure at Teraco Johannesburg. We have a purpose built a new network with multiple points of redundancy. This will be a significant improvement in network performance and reliability. We are also upgrading to a 10Gb storage network, further improving performance and reliability of our cloud storage systems. A detailed announcement regarding the launch of our new infrastructure will be made next year.
